Knowledge diffusion is the first step in building economic complexity

““While novel, ‘new-to-the-world’, innovation is an important source of economic performance, it relates to only one to two per cent of Australian firms. The slow accretion of existing knowledge across the economy — diffusion — is often overlooked as a source of productivity. It has the scope to lift the performance of millions of businesses.” Productivity Commission 2022.

Australia is 72nd in the world for knowledge diffusion, and 105th for economic complexity. We can do better.

“Australia’s universities hold the levers to reignite national productivity…” Attila Brungs – VC  UNSW.

How does this work?

Every two months we publish webinars, videos or podcasts on Health, Defence, Mining, ICT, Transport, Energy and Agriculture from Universities in Australia. And promote to businesses, not for profits, and high schools.
